Support Worker

We are looking for thoughtful, caring and inspiring people to join our team of Support Workers in Fareham. Dimensions provide life changing support to people with learning disabilities and autism throughout England and Wales.

We often find great talent from retail, cleaning and hospitality backgrounds, but no matter what your experience, we want to hear from you.  This is your opportunity to start a career where you are genuinely changing people’s lives and to join an award winning team in the process.

The Dimensions team is supporting 4 gentleman who are fun loving, enjoy other people's company and learning new things. The gentlemen live across two dwellings and can exhibit varying levels of behaviours of distress. We will offer full and thorough training on behavioural support and all other aspects of the role.

Between them they have lots of different interests including motorbikes, dogs, wrestling, and football. You will support and provide encouragement with cooking and cleaning alongside their favourite activities such as playing games, trips to the zoo, clothes shopping, going to cafes and walks.

Advanced levels of manual handling are to be expected and the shifts times vary, but will include: earlies (7am starts), lates (10pm finishes), mid shifts, and every other weekend so a flexible approach to working hours is key. We are looking for full time candidates who can work 37.5 hours per week on a rotational basis, however part time contracts will also be considered and this will be discussed at shortlisting. The rate of pay is £9.50 per hour.
