Who will I be supporting? 

• Five young men will soon be moving in to two brand new supported living homes in Trafford
• They have autism, epilepsy, communication and mobility challenges, and they experience behaviours of distress
• Like most young men, they love being out and about and having fun!
• They want a support team that are active and share their interests – they love going on bike rides, playing badminton, swimming (you must be able to swim yourself), going to the cinema and they’re interested in drama
• Two of the young men also want to join the gym and get involved in leisure centre activities to improve their mental and physical health. They have plenty of personal goals they want to achieve and they’re looking for energetic and engaged support workers to help them achieve these! 
• Four of the gentlemen attend college during term time   

What will I be doing? 

• You will be supporting them to live their lives how they choose, to be themselves, and to achieve their goals 
• You will be supporting with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
• Some of the young men require support with their mobility and one gentleman is a wheelchair user - training provided

What shifts are available? 

• 2:30pm – 9:30pm, 3pm – 11pm, 7am – 2:30pm, long days with sleep ins (24 hours), waking nights from 9pm – 9am, as well as some shorter personal 1-1 support hours
• As this is a brand-new service, the shifts on offer are quite flexible at the moment, so apply early and we’ll do our best to reach an arrangement that works for everyone
• Important – the young men receive more support hours during school holidays so it’s unlikely that annual leave will be approved during these times
