Part-time, 22 hours per week
Full UK driving licence is essential
Do you find yourself naturally caring for others? Are you able to motivate others in a consistent and calm manner? Are you looking for a meaningful career? If so, this may be the role for you!
We’re looking for a fantastic individual to join our outstanding support team in the NE6 area of Newcastle where we currently support three gentlemen in their 50s and 60s. Your role will be to support them to achieve their goals, which include engaging in the activities they enjoy. They love doing Zumba, getting creative with their artwork, visiting sensory rooms and spending quality time with their friends and family.
They have complex needs and are looking for a kind and patient person to provide personal care, administer medication, assist with transfers to their wheelchair using a hoist (training will be provided), along with support with meal preparation and domestic tasks. If you’re a positive and committed person with a passion for supporting others to live the life they want to live, then we’d love to hear from you.
Shifts can vary and may change from time to time depending on the changing needs of the people you are supporting. Currently we provide support through 24-hour shifts starting at 9am one day and finishing at 9am the following day with a sleep in shift from 11pm – 8am included. There are also day shifts from 8am-10pm and 9am-4pm. We’re looking for people who can be as flexible as possible and work a combination of shifts across weekdays, weekends and your share of the bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work/life balance so you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
We recruit based on values so whilst previous experience is always welcome, it’s certainly not essential as full training will be provided.
If you have any further questions and would like to discuss the role in more detail, please call Gillian on 07940 267 775.
