Support Workers - brand new team!

£10.56 per hour

Darlington, DL3

Part-time contracts, 16 or 32 hours per week

Full UK driving licence essential

We're currently supporting a young man who is ready to transition to adult social care. He lives in Darlington, loves the countryside and crafting, and has a learning disability and autism.

To ensure a successful transition, and for him to continue to live the happy, fulfilled and independent life we all deserve, we're looking for kind, friendly and patient people to join his new team as Support Workers.

You will be providing support with his daily routines that include full personal care, medication administration, meal preparation and domestic tasks, as well as supporting and facilitating his participation in the activities he enjoys, like going for walks, being out in the countryside and getting involved in crafts.

Transitioning to Dimensions is a big change for this young man and he may experience some behaviours of distress so we're particularly interested in speaking to people with previous experience of  behaviours that distress, or people who are committed and willing to learn, so that we can support him in the best way possible.

We’re looking for people who can work flexibly on a rota that includes a combination of long day shifts with sleepovers, a shorter day shift and waking nights during the week, at weekends and on occasional bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.

For more information on the role, please call Ashleigh on 07908 470 026.
