Hull
This is a complex behaviour/forensic service and is better suited to experienced Support Workers
We're looking for Support Workers who are passionate about supporting adults to increase their independent living skills, well-being, and engagement, whilst facilitating positive community participation.
You will be supporting a young man who has a mild learning disability, personality disorder (EUPD) and a forensic history. You will be required to support him to live safely in the community and in developing and understanding his emotions, effective ways to communicate his needs, empathy for the needs of others, understanding relationships and learning about and understanding his own health needs.
This is a challenging and demanding role that requires you to draw on your compassion, resilience, and a non-judgemental attitude. You will need a sound understanding of risk management and the ability to maintain appropriate structures and boundaries.
Full specialist forensic training and support will be provided. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your career!
Shifts are usually 8am one day until 8am the following day with a sleep-in shift included. This can be flexible though so shorter shifts are also available. If preferred, there is the option of joining our waking nights team who typically work 8pm - 8am. We provide support 7 days a week on a 2:1 staffing basis.
If you have any questions or to discuss the role further, please call Lauren on 07943 713 039 Mon-Fri 9-5pm.
