Support Worker Female

Location - Reading

Hourly rate - £9.60 - £9.90 per hour

Start your day knowing you'll make a difference - join our team of Support Workers in the Reading area and create a positive difference that improves the life for the people we support. We are recruiting across multiple services in the Reading/Caversham area and your location preference will be discussed at short listing.

Dimensions are supporting people to lead a very active life and we are looking for candidates who are creative and can support them to plan their day, attend health appointments, oversee and plan outdoor and indoor activities. Shopping, cooking and accessing the community by going to local sports centres, cinemas and eating out at cafes and restaurants form a large part of the daily lives of the people we support so candidates must be enthusiastic and active. The families and friends of the people we support play a big part in their lives so they will also require support with maintaining those relationships. We work on a rotational basis so flexibility towards shifts is a must (some example shift times are 7am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm), and the rota is designed for the benefit of the people we support.

You don’t need previous experience in care and support work as full training is given, and we offer a great team environment, competitive pay rates and fantastic benefits. We will need you to be friendly and approachable and support individuals to have a great life with excellent outcomes.

Dimensions are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit organisation supporting people with learning difficulties, autism and complex needs and we are driven by our values.  People with learning disabilities and their families are at the heart of everything we do.

Due to the nature of these roles we will only be accepting applications from female candidates at this time

"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010."

Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity, apply today.
