Who will I be supporting? 

  • A fabulous lady in her 30s who lives in her own home in the NE3 area of Newcastle
  • She has autism and can communicate through behaviours of distress
  • She is someone who is most comfortable at home, where she can dance to her favourite 80s music and solve puzzles. She also loves watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on DVD! 

What will I be doing? 

  • You will be supporting her to live her life how he chooses, to be herself, and to achieve her goals 
  • You will be supporting her to increase her independent living skills, which includes personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • She has access to a car to further promote her independence so it's essential that her support team each have a full UK driving licence, are over the age of 25 for business car insurance purposes and are comfortable driving someone else's car  

What shifts are available? 

  • 9am one day to 9am the following day – sleepover shift included
  • Day shifts 9am – 6pm (2:1 support hours)
  • Flexibility to work a combination of these shifts on weekdays and weekends on a rota basis is required
  • Rotas are provided 4 weeks in advance
